of Asia Women’s
Forum |
Qichao Liang (1873—1929),
Chinese modern thinker, litterateur and scholar
mentioned 100 year ago that the openness, independence
and freedom of one society depend on the women’s
openness, independence and freedom. China would
be better and superior to the rest of the world
if Chinese women were better and superior to the
rest of the world. It implies that one of the social
progress symbols comes from the women’s
civilization while it does not imply that one country’s
prosperity solely comes from women’s
endeavors. The Asia Women’s
Forum initiates the spirit of self-respect, self-support
and self-reliance. It also researches and discusses
the women’s
concerning topics with friendly communications.
Helping women to choose their value positions and
the endeavor directions will develop the women’s
cause. Meanwhile it reinforces the communications
and dialogues between men and women, which creates
the harmonious developing environment and increases
the social progress.
People oriented that is scientific
views of development has already been recognized
by the whole society. The interdependent, complementary
of gender hold and evolve human being’s
subsistence, multiply, the balance of the society
and the harmonious and sustainable development.
However, because of the various historical and practical
reasons, currently there exist a lot of obstacles
and problems during the women’s
development, such as the unfair social positions
of gender, the mismatch of gender as well as the
unbalance for the progress development of gender.
How to innovate a social environment for harmonious
development of men and women to force the whole
social progress should be concerned by all of us.
Build up and carry out the scientific views of development
provides the great thinking driving for fulfilling
the basic state policy of equality of men and women
as well as offers the unprecedented development
opportunities for the Chinese women. It is observed
that this forum is aimed to build up and fulfill
the scientific views of development and instruct
Chinese and Asian women to develop further.
This session invites the Asian prestigious scholars,
entrepreneurs and artists to explore together the
women’s
development and social progress. The participants
make the scene of dialogues on “People oriented
as the scientific views of development” and “The
harmonious development for men and women is the
driving and symbol of social progress”. We believe
that it will be an instructive exploration in order
to that the society recognizes woman again and to
that it makes women more self-confidence than before. |
